Vision

Reducing Commute Times & Traffic Congestion

As our community grows, your time is our most valuable resource. I am committed to a “total mobility” vision that balances smarter roads with efficient transit. My focus is on increasing bus frequency, adding neighbourhood stops, and improving SkyTrain connections to reduce wait times and long walks. I will also support strategic road expansions to improve traffic flow. Whether you drive, walk, or take transit, the goal is simple: get you where you need to be, faster, so you have more time for family and life.

Housing for Families

Coquitlam is at a crossroads where high costs and limited supply are pushing young families out. I am committed to a smart housing strategy that reduces municipal red tape and fast-tracks permits to lower development costs and increase the supply of attainable homes. I will advocate for more multi-bedroom units designed for real families, not just small condos, along with more attainable rental options. Through smarter zoning and fiscal discipline, my goal is to make Coquitlam a place where families can afford to live, grow, and build their future.

Fiscal Responsibility & Local Business Growth

Respecting the taxpayer means ensuring every dollar delivers real value. I am committed to bringing professional fiscal discipline to City Hall by scrutinizing civic spending and striving for leaner, more efficient budgets. We must keep Coquitlam affordable for every household by eliminating wasteful expenses and focusing on core services.
As a business owner, I will always promote our local small businesses so they can outcompete neighboring cities. By fostering a pro-growth environment, we will expand our local tax base, create jobs, and ensure Coquitlam remains a prosperous place to live, work, and invest.

Safe Streets & Secure Public Spaces

As a family man with young kids growing up in this community, I strongly believe every parent deserves peace of mind when their children are playing outdoors. I will champion strict, enforceable bylaws to prohibit open drug use in our parks and playgrounds, ensuring our public squares remain safe for all. By maintaining strong police staffing, supporting gang prevention, and investing in specialized Fire medic trucks for faster response times and promoting safer neighborhood designs with increased visibility, I will ensure Coquitlam remains a secure and vibrant place to call home.

Healthcare Access & Supporting Seniors

As a family man, I know that caring for our seniors is as important as investing in our youth. I will advocate for more primary care clinics and urgent care centres in Coquitlam to reduce wait times in ER and improve access to family doctors. I support expanding seniors’ housing and community programs so residents can age with dignity and remain connected. Partnerships of mental health nurses and RCMP is a compassionate achievement for the City of Coquitlam . My goal is a to enhance this collaboration for healthier & safer Coquitlam for every generation

Supporting Local Businesses & Jobs

As a business owner, I understand the challenges entrepreneurs face—from rising costs to complex regulations. I will work to cut red tape, streamline permitting, and create a more business-friendly environment in Coquitlam. My focus is on supporting local businesses, attracting new investment, and fostering innovation to create sustainable jobs. By strengthening partnerships and encouraging growth across sectors, I am committed to building a vibrant local economy that creates opportunities and keeps jobs within our community.

“Coquitlam in the Clouds”: A Modern, Connected City

Our city should move as fast as the world we live in. I will champion a “Coquitlam in the Clouds” vision to expand free, reliable public Wi-Fi across parks, civic centres, and community hubs. I will also work to fully digitize City Hall services—making permits, payments, and city hall meetings easily accessible online. By reducing wait times and improving transparency, we can create a more efficient, accessible government and bridge the digital divide for a smarter, more connected Coquitlam.

Parks & Recreation Development

Coquitlam’s parks are among the best in Metro Vancouver, and as our city grows, we must protect and expand them. I will support integrating new parks into developing neighbourhoods while upgrading existing spaces to keep them safe, clean, and accessible. Building on progress like new parks, community gardens, dog parks, and enhanced playgrounds, my focus is to invest in green spaces that promote health, recreation, and community connection for residents of all ages.

Family-Focused Recreation & Community Spaces

As a family man and father of twins, I understand the importance of safe, accessible, and affordable recreation for all ages. I will support opening new recreation centres and maintaining our existing facilities, including swimming pools, arenas, and community hubs, so families have year-round spaces to stay active and connected. I am committed to maintaining our existing facilities to the highest standards while advocating for expanded hours and modernized swimming pools to meet the needs of our growing city. By ensuring these spaces remain open, safe, and accessible for all ages & lifestyle that makes Coquitlam the best place to raise a family.”

Homelessness & Community Support

I believe every resident deserves a safe community and every individual deserves dignity. I am committed to a cross-governmental approach, working closely with BC Housing and the Province to expand shelter capacity and transitional facilities. By connecting vulnerable individuals with essential mental health and addiction supports, we can move people off the streets and into stability. My priority is a safer Coquitlam where public spaces are protected and the root causes of homelessness are addressed with practical, long-term solutions.”

Education, Families & Lifelong Learning

As a parent raising young children, I understand how important strong schools and learning opportunities are for our community. I will work closely with school districts to ensure they receive the support needed to manage growth, improve resources, and create safe, high-quality learning environments. I also support innovative programs like mobile libraries—bringing “books on buses” to parks and community spaces—so learning extends beyond classrooms. My goal is to strengthen education, promote literacy, and support families across Coquitlam.

Investing in Sports & Active Communities

As a parent constantly hustling between kids’ activities, sports arenas, and community programs, I understand how vital accessible recreational facilities are for families. I know that local sports are more than just games—they are where our children learn teamwork and resilience. I am committed to modernizing our aging arenas and continued investment in sports infrastructure, including arenas, fields, and multipurpose facilities that support athletes of all ages and skill levels. Expanding and maintaining these spaces ensures children, youth, and adults can stay active, build teamwork, and strengthen community connections. My goal is a healthier, more engaged Coquitlam where every family has opportunities to thrive through sport.
